OpinionWorld wants my ID for a reward
OpinionWorld is now wanting me to verify my ID through Veriff if i want to redeem a reward. OpinionWorld claims its because of fraud. I wont be sending my ID to some random company in Estonia.
In Australia we have the IDMatch service which can verify IDs whilst protecting your privacy. Private sector organisations may use, but the use of the services must be reasonable, necessary and proportionate to a user’s functions or activities.
Is verifying an ID to claim a $10 reward reasonable? I don’t think so.
OpinionWorld is owned by Dynata, whos also own Valued Opinions and Myopinions, so if you are a member of any of those survey sites be prepared to be sending your ID to a third party for verification or or maybe its time for you to stop doing surveys at those survey sites.
